A Feast for Fourty? No, six. [Animails #8]

One part of my year on exchange in Germany that I’ll never be able to forget is Christmas Dinner. With lashings of food decorating the dining table, I believed we’d be accompanied by a bunch of guests… I was wrong.

It’s something else that I find quite humorous. :]

This picture is highly inaccurate; double the amount of food on the table for an estimate of the amount food that was splayed out before me on Christmas Eve.

Gluttony… hardly a sin for an exchange student. [Animails #7]

Delicious, Delicious food…

That’s all that exchange students seem to worry about between classes, after school, and in my situation, even throughout my entire gym workout.

I wonder if any other exchange students out there are in the same boat as me. ;]

Meet some friends. [Animails #2]

Thanks to Kim’s crafty skills (and access to a scanner), we’re underway with the Animails project. So here’s an introduction to our three characters up close… with a little hint to what they’re all about and what adventures they’ll be illustrating. :]

Nice work though Kim.

See some more info about Animails in the navigation bar. ;]

Love Ryan :]

Checkmate. Berlin Zoo.

No, it’s not a game of chess… it’s that I’ve recently crossed something off my bucket list: I managed to see the world renowned Berlin Zoo. :]

I encountered creature’s great and small, and with a friend who was visiting her Uncle in Berlin, we managed to conquer the zoo completely and see almost all of its 1,500 different species. The zoo itself was preoccupied with construction site chaos, most likely due to the fact the park opened in 1844 and needed some major upgrades… it provided a bit of confusion when trying to navigate around to see the 17,000 or animals… :/
But nonetheless, it was a great day to be had, and the first outing in Berlin. :]

So there’s lots of happy snaps of the lovely little creatures….
and the not so lovely ones:

Hope you enjoy the pictures lovely people! :]

Meet Ella [Animails #1]

She’s an elephant.
And she’s a good friend of mine. ;]

Thanks to Ella [and her friends], many of the people around the world will begin to understand exactly how it feels to be an exchange student in Europe. :]

Hope you enjoy her stories. ;]

Here Ella, like every exchange student, struggles to cope with a fluctuating waste line as she tries on some new jeans.

Lions, Tigers and Bears, oh my.

Ironically, during a day trip to Augsburg Zoo, I didn’t take one photo of a lion, tiger or bear. My bad. :p

But I did see them though… shame I can’t share their joy with all of you. :p

Until then though, all I can do is share a few of my favourite pics. Enjoy. :]
